In a Finnish seaside town, where outward prosperity hides a whole heap of social and private problems, a girl’s body is found on a treadmill: she was shot at point-blank range with a shotgun. Anna Fekete, a young investigator of Hungarian origin, is sent to the crime scene. It's her first day in homicide. And as if a bloody corpse wasn’t enough, she ends up with the worst possible partner – the racist and drunkard Esko. Anna quickly realizes that the case will not be easy: the main suspect has a cast-iron alibi. And the police have nothing on their hands except one single clue: a strange amulet found on the victim with an image of the Aztec hummingbird god.
