Irina Markova is a member of the Moscow city organization of the Union of Writers of Russia (MGO SPR), senior lecturer at the Department of English at Moscow State Technical University. N.E. Bauman. Author of ten poetry collections, co-author of many literary magazines and almanacs. Diploma winner of the “Best Book 2008–2010” competition in the “Golden Pen of Rus'” nomination, winner of the “Best Book 2012” competition for the poetry collection “Poetry Therapy” (2012). Winner of the “Burning Bush” literary competition in the “Poetry” category for the book “The Annunciation” (2013). Finalist of the "King of Poets" competition - awarded the title "Dame of Poetry" (2013). Awarded medals A.S. Griboyedov and M.Yu. Lermontov (2013), Andrei Bely (2015), a silver cross for the book “The Annunciation” (2013). Winner (1st place) of the competition of satire and humor (almanac “Nonsense”, 2013). Winner of the competition “Best Poets and Writers of Russia” (2013) with the presentation of a personalized “Golden Pen” figurine. Awarded the Order “For Contribution to Education” (2014). In 2015, by decision of the Moscow Regional Writers' Organization, Irina Markova was awarded the title "Honored Poet of the Moscow Region."
