This dictionary has existed for more than sixty years. In its current form, it contains approximately one and a half thousand articles, which present thinkers, concepts and trends in philosophy from antiquity to the present day. The compilers sought to preserve the universal nature of the dictionary by including in it the basic terms of ethics, aesthetics, logic, philosophical issues of natural science, sociology, psychology, and religious studies. Compared to the previous edition, the dictionary has been supplemented by a third with new articles; most of the surviving articles have been revised. The combination of modern and traditional ideas, thematic completeness allow us to recommend the dictionary both for the educational process and for self-education to a wide range of readers.
