The book is devoted to the study of the US military intervention in the Dominican Republic in 1965. The history of the Dominican Republic and its relations with the United States in the period preceding the events of 1965 are examined. Much attention is paid to the study of the dictatorship of Trujillo, who came to power in this country with the help of the United States. Using the example of American intervention in the affairs of the Dominican Republic, a detailed analysis of the means and techniques used by Washington during the Cold War is given in relation to countries that have taken the “wrong” path of development. This arsenal included a wide range of means: from propaganda, economic blockade and financial pressure to the physical elimination of political figures and sponsorship of the armed opposition.
