The famous Tajik prose writer and playwright Jalol Ikrami in the trilogy “The Twelve Gates of Bukhara” tells about the first years of the Bukhara Republic. As an eyewitness and researcher of the events described, the writer historically accurately reproduces the situation of those years, the victory of Soviet power in Bukhara. The book deeply and realistically depicts the revolutionary power of the people building the Soviet state with the direct help of the Russian Bolsheviks and their leader in the Bukhara Republic, Valerian Kuibyshev.
