The heroine of the novel - a young woman who cannot call any city her own - remembers and relives growing up: a serene Moscow childhood, family emigration to Israel, parents' divorce, bullying of classmates, a terrorist attack in which her best friend's loved one dies. By protesting, the heroine creates a different reality, and in it everything is possible: to conquer the city, shout Yesenin’s lines like a spell, create a Snail Rescue Squad, make a cat the Queen of England, and turn a carton of milk into a lyrical hero. The novel pulls the reader into a time loop, where childhood is a real salvation from the tragedies of the adult world, and there is no death at all...
