Larry Niven is an American science fiction writer. Among the top ten science fiction writers, he ranks with Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke. Over the course of his long creative career, Niven wrote dozens of successful works in which scientific discoveries and futurological predictions are skillfully combined with exciting adventures. For his achievements in the genre of science fiction, Niven was awarded the title of “Grand Master”. He was awarded the Hugo Award five times and the Nebula Award twice. He is also the recipient of the Locus Award, the Edward E. Smith Memorial Award, the World Fantasy Award, the Robert E. Heinlein Award, and others.
