Trout Fur is the latest novel by the famous Swiss writer Paul Nizon. His hero Stolp, a slacker and an eccentric, has just inherited an apartment in Paris, but instead of rejoicing in his luck, he constantly runs away into the street, where he communicates with a variety of people. Little by little, he completely loses ground under his feet and falls into madness, to finally disappear into thin air.
