The first flights into space, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Vietnam War, Khrushchev’s “thaw” - against the backdrop of these world and domestic political events, the lives of the children in the Ural village take place. They will grow up, disperse throughout the country, survive the collapse of the Soviet system and the collapse of the Union, but they will retain the memory of their childhood years and love for their native land. But that will come later. In the meantime, they are schoolchildren...Posters and postcards from the 60-70s of the last century, used for the design of the book, convey the atmosphere in which the heroes of the story, based on the author’s memories, lived and grew up.
