Recently, the idea of non-violent treatment of dogs has become increasingly widespread. Often, the choice of school depends only on whether the coach promises to use positive, gentle methods. But what do you mean by “positive”? Is training with positive reinforcement and non-punishment enough to have a positive effect on your dog? It turns out not! It is necessary to comprehensively take into account how our influence changes the internal state of the dog and how this influence is expressed in behavior. This brochure provides examples that compare methods of treating a dog using the so-called traditional and positive methods, as well as methods of new canine therapy.
