This exciting book is the second part of the cult trilogy “City of Amber”. The main characters Lina and Dun lead the inhabitants of the underground city to the surface, into a new world full of light and life. But this world is not at all like ours: all that remains of modern civilization are ruins. Residents of the small village of Iskra agreed to help the newcomers, but there is not enough work and bread for everyone. Disagreements between the two communities are escalating to such an extent that they threaten to escalate into war. In this novel, the author again makes the reader think about how fragile our world is and how great the role of a person who does good is in it.
