The name of Gilbert Charette is known enough to the homeopathic community to represent him. Charette's proposed work is unique and is rightfully considered the best version of Materia Medica in the entire two-hundred-year history of the development of homeopathic science. The peculiarity, or its value, is that all descriptions of homeopathic medicines have a pronounced functional meaning, that is, the effect of homeopathic medicines on various functions of the human body is described in great detail. And for practical homeopathy - for medical practitioners - this is, perhaps, the main thing that is necessary when working with the drug. In 1927, the first edition of Gilbert Charette’s book “Practical Homeopathic Medicine” was published, which was destined for a long and happy life. She immediately attracted the attention of the medical community in her homeland and in other countries, but some of the materials were not included in the Russian publication and are not known to the readers of our country. First of all, this concerns illustrations of the action of homeopathic medicines, where their most important characteristics are highlighted using specific life examples and the principles of homeopathic tactics are revealed. We are talking about case histories borrowed by the author from famous homeopathic doctors of the past from various literary sources. To familiarize the readers of our country with these materials, this book was compiled and translated into Russian, which is a logical addition to the first Russian edition of “Practical Homeopathic Medicines,” which included in full the case histories that make up the original and unique homeopathic anthology of J. Charette .The manual is intended primarily for beginner homeopathic doctors, as well as for doctors of other specialties who use the homeopathic method of treatment in their practice, but will undoubtedly be useful for experienced homeopathic doctors.
