The collection includes statements and teachings of St. Nicholas of Serbia (1880–1956), St. Justin (Popovich) (1894–1979) and Archimandrite Thaddeus of Vitovnitsky (1914–2003) - great ascetics, spiritualists and preachers of the Serbian Church of the 20th century. Serbia, like Russia, went through a difficult path of national revival in the 20th century, the horrors of World War II, and the communist dictatorship of Josip Broz Tito. But despite the fact that in Yugoslavia there was not such severe persecution of Orthodoxy as in the USSR, the faith in Serbia and Russia is related by the common roots of Slavic culture and the experienced temptations of the 20th century. The thoughts of the great Serbian confessors are collected by topic and arranged in alphabetical order for convenience readers.
