The 17th volume of the collected works of Clifford Simak includes the writer’s stories not included in the previous volumes, as well as his first work, “The World of the Red Sun,” with which Simak began his literary career, and an interview with the writer, taken from him several years ago years before his death. The presented works provide an excellent opportunity to evaluate the writer’s creative range: from the grandiose cosmic landscapes of “The Observer” to the deep psychologism of “Shadow Theater”, from the pessimism of “The World of the Red Sun” to the bright hope of “House of the Renewed”.
