In this book we will talk about two famous and especially revered icons of the Orthodox Church. The miraculous image depicted on the icon of the Vladimir Mother of God is the most ancient. And when we venerate the miraculous image, we are touching not a list, not a copy, but the original. Another one of the most beloved and revered in Rus' is the image of the Kazan Mother of God. Even that person who has no idea about the great multitude of images of the Mother of God, and perhaps comes to church only twice a year - at Epiphany and Easter, and he knows: when you go to church, you need to put a candle on eve and the Mother of God, and certainly of Kazan. “After all, Kazanskaya is kind,” such people say, and according to their simple faith, gracious goodness is given to them from the Most Holy Theotokos.
