The epic chronicle of the writer of the Russian Abroad Evgeny Nikolaevich Chirikov (1864–1932) presents a large-scale panorama of pre-revolutionary Russia, showing the struggle of elites and revolutionary fanatics for power, which led the country to disaster. The collapse of the state always begins with trouble in the family - in the father's house (this miniature model of the state), which the writer showed using the example of aristocrats, the Kudyshev princes. The book is being published in Russia for the first time. Unique archival photographic materials are presented.
