It will soon be a century since the salvos of the First World War died down. For the Russian reader, it can safely be called the Unknown War. For many years it remained in the shadow of the Second World War (or rather even the Great Patriotic War), and the amount of materials published on it, at least of a military-historical nature, was generally small. Although it was this war that laid the foundations for almost all modern branches of the military (perhaps, except for the missile forces). On the battlefields of the first global military conflict, tanks, chemical troops, air defense and, of course, aviation appeared for the first time. In recent years, interest in the history of the First World War has increased significantly, but the quality of many publications leaves much to be desired. Also, many of its aspects have not been sufficiently systematized. This fully applies to fighter aviation. This book is a complete reference book on the aces of German military aviation in the period 1915-1918. It reflects short biographies, lists of victories, photographic materials on all 393 German pilots and air gunners who scored five or more victories during the First World War. You can also find a list of fighter squadrons and comparative tables on the various achievements of the Kaiser's aces. Place is also given to the methodology for calculating air victories.
