(for all gadgets)
(including for Apple and Android)
In this publication, for the first time, with all possible completeness and textual accuracy, the corpus of dramatic works of Vladimir Nabokov (1899–1977), written by him in 1921–1942, is presented. For the first time, the drama “The Man from the USSR” is published in Russian, the last of the major Russian-language works of Nabokov, which until now remained inaccessible to the Russian reader. With the release of this play, the long-term return of the writer’s works to Russia ends. The text of “The Tragedy of Mister Morn”, published for the only time in a periodical, was re-verified with the manuscript. For the first time, translations of Nabokov's American lectures on the art of drama are published. The publication is accompanied by an introductory article and detailed notes in which, based on archival research, the circumstances of the creation and production of Nabokov's plays are recreated.
