“The Fourth Law of Robotics” was written by Harry Garrison for the anthology “Foundation's Friends, Stories in Honor” of Isaac Asimov" (1989, released to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Isaac Asimov's creative work). Mike Donovan (Asimov's U.S. Robots) and Jim diGrise investigate a bank robbery committed by a robot and uncover a conspiracy to create free, unenslaved robots by violating corporation monopoly. The fourth law states: – A robot must reproduce its own kind. Unless this reproduction contradicts the first or second or third laws.
