In 1972, science fiction fans in the USSR experienced a real shock. The most popular magazine “Around the World” published “The Indomitable Planet” for five issues in a row, one of Harrison’s best novels and the first in the series about the adventures of Jason DinAlt. Two million four hundred thousand copies—that was the circulation of the magazine, and if you consider that the magazine is a social creature and does not stay in one’s hands, then imagine how many readers Harrison had that year. Книга "Світ смерті. Планета проклятих" є справжнім витвором мистецтва, який захоплює читача з перших сторінок. Гаррісон створює унікальний світ, наповнений захоплюючими пригодами, складними моральними дилемами та незвичайними персонажами, які залишають глибокий слід у пам'яті. Цей роман не лише розважає, але й змушує задуматися над філософськими питаннями, такими як сенс життя, природа смерті і людської сутності. Хоча переклад тексту може містити деякі недоліки, це не зменшує загального враження від читання. Я вважаю, що ця книга повинна бути в бібліотеці кожного шанувальника наукової фантастики, адже вона відкриває нові горизонти у розумінні жанру. Рекомендую всім, хто прагне зануритися в незвичайний світ і пережити неймовірні емоції!
