The heroes of the book “Four in Norway, or Masha Stays at Home” go on vacation to a small Norwegian village and live in a large house surrounded by fjords and mountains. They are having a great time in this cold country! There are games in the rocks near the stream, trips to the sea to the old lighthouse and to the fictitious city of Cardamom... They explore the country on foot and by car, celebrate May Day with local residents and communicate with German fishermen. What does Masha have to do with this, you ask? Nothing to do with it. Masha is a pug. And the best thing she could do for her owners was to stay at home!
