Suicide is one of the most difficult problems facing those who are professionally involved in helping other people. It rarely happens that a doctor or psychologist, rescue worker or teacher does not encounter in their work the need to stop a suicide. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to avoid tragic mistakes without sufficient preparation... The manual offered to the reader is the first in Russian literature to summarize theoretical, methodological and organizational issues of suicidology and crisis therapy. A classification of suicidal reactions in normal and pathological conditions is given, an analysis of clinical cases is given, and the author's program of crisis therapy is outlined.
