Deir ez-Zor, Latakia, Tartus, Damascus, Ar-Raqqa, Tiyaz... Until recently, these names meant nothing to the majority of those living in the territory of the former USSR. It was as if they didn’t exist... And suddenly the airwaves, the Internet, and newspapers were filled with them. War, the Aerospace Forces provide assistance to the “Assad regime”, operating from the Khmeimim base. The war has been going on there for a long time, with interruptions for some time, the country changed its names, it was captured and enslaved. Cities, civilizations, and religions rose and collapsed. Our relationships have been especially closely intertwined since the mid-50s of the last century, when “Korean” pilots who had gone through the Korean War began training Syrian pilots. The “Assad regime” began its rise from there. It is no coincidence that our country is helping Syria to withstand this unprecedentedly cruel and bloody battle for the “Greater Middle East.” This is our chance to hold back the enemy’s attack, which is ultimately aimed at us. But what would happen if events went a little differently than in our history? What if we added a little alternative?
