The main character named Roman, a resident of a provincial Russian city, is clad in the armor of irony, snaps harshly and exposes needles to any communication. Like: “don’t touch me, it’ll be better for you.” He witnesses several unexplained deaths of completely ordinary citizens of his city. He, a fired architect, is hired as a boat driver for excursions and picnics by his childhood friend, a businessman who has returned to his hometown. After some time, his boat is chartered for a week by a strange girl. A criminal investigation inspector is closely watching him, suspecting that it is no accident that Roman witnesses mysterious and tragic incidents. Roman himself sees a strange blond boy in each of these incidents...
