The book is devoted to the actual philosophical content of creativity. The purpose of the study is to determine the ontological status and value meaning of creativity. Here creativity is taken as a process and an objective harmonious relationship of a person to the whole world and to himself. An important place is occupied by the criticism of two large trends: substantialism (its classics are Spinoza and Hegel) and anti-substantialism (from Protagoras to N. A. Berdyaev); their “common denominator” is established - anthropocentrism. Extensive literature is analyzed, especially in psychology, and the limitations of the so-called activity approach are shown. The philosophical heritage of S. L. Rubinstein is analyzed and the enduring values of childhood are revealed. The theme of creativity is considered in the context of modern global environmental problems.
