This book is good as a “popular introduction to the subject of female manifestations of Asperger's syndrome.” A certain starting point for “not the same” / “wrong” girls/girls/women, who, however, developed a “man (G. Asperger) for men in a study of boys” description of Asperger’s syndrome (naturally, not taking into account the (often traumatic) influence of female gender socialization) is not suitable at all or partially. Rudy herself is also a late-diagnosed Aspie, which means that she has lived what she writes about first-hand, and she presents the Aspie woman as the subject, rather than the object, of the “smart scientists” description.

In addition to stories about her experience, the author provides excerpts from interviews with 35 diagnosed Aspie women.
