Inauthentic forms of science are explored using specific examples. Various manifestations of imitation of scientific discourse are analyzed and their qualifying features are identified. A single criterion for distinguishing between science and quasi-science is proposed. Ideological aberrations in texts that claim to be scientific are considered. The detached, scientistic presentation of the material is combined with techniques characteristic of journalism. The book is addressed to everyone who is not indifferent to the fate of science.
