The Vladimir Dal publishing house continues to publish translations of German authors belonging to the “George circle”, which set the task of implementing a fundamentally new approach to reading and understanding the most outstanding texts of European spiritual culture. One of the fundamental images for the new enterprise, along with Shakespeare, Goethe and Nietzsche, was Plato, who became not so much an object of study and analysis as an object of worship and an icon of a synthetic cult. We are talking about the first “gestalt book” in which the revolutionary the project of Georgian Platonolatry, which opposed itself to traditional academic Platonology. It was written by a young philosopher-aspirant and adherent of the “circle” Heinrich Friedemann, who was educated at universities in Germany and Switzerland, and then continued it in neo-Kantian schools.
