One crime after another is committed in the house of Alicia, Joanna's friend, in the quiet Danish town of Allerode. On the one hand, the Danish police are trying to uncover them, and on the other, Alicia’s friends, alarmed and worried. Unexpected irony in the description of bloody events, comic situations and dialogues, despite the heap of horrors, or perhaps in combination with them, make Khmelevskaya’s detective story completely different from the usual works of this genre (“Everything is Red”). And upon returning to her homeland, Khmelevskaya’s heroine Once again she finds herself drawn into an incomprehensible, mysterious crime - this time a “dollar scam” - which the competent authorities are trying in vain to unravel. The mystery keeps the reader in suspense until the very end of the novel. Ioanna Khmelevskaya’s inherent dynamism in the development of the action, sparkling humorous dialogues, rich images of the characters (“Cursed Inheritance”) are captivating. Artist N. Bugoslavskaya.
