This book was written by the oldest nature researcher in Kazakhstan, Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor of zoology, naturalist and feature writer, who has published more than seventy popular science and non-fiction books of documentary prose. It highlights the author's astonishingly wide range of knowledge, his insightful powers of foresight of the present and insight into the forgotten past. In it, he describes the detailed route he developed, which is so necessary for rapidly developing tourism, and highlighted the last, special one from this route, dedicating it to the astronomical mounds he discovered in Kazakhstan sixty years ago (!), which, unfortunately, did not receive worthy attention and were forgotten. In this book, he describes a remarkable group of mounds at Atasu, in the once prosperous and now deserted part of the Saryarka semi-desert, and compares these mounds with the world-famous Stonehenge, previously not recognized by either archaeologists or astronomers. The revival of that ancient monument was facilitated by two amateurs, a retired colonel and a meat merchant. The author is jokingly ironic about this. And in his military ID as a participant in the Second World War there is the last entry about conferring the rank of colonel of the medical service, and, jokingly, he says that he misses a businessman-meat trader. His book, like all the others, is designed for the widest circle of readers, and not only lovers of nature and travel, but also businessmen seeking to find a wise use for their capital.
