The essence of the book: the dream (motivation) of humanity about personal immortality, over the past 15 years has been turning from philosophical-speculative to theoretical-experimental... Many groups of scientists in different countries, in the strictest secrecy (usually on order), are intensively working on extending bodily life people, but at the same time they honestly admit in the newspapers (quote): “Yes, ideally we only get Laputa (the country of eternal old people from Gulliver’s Travels), but we would like more! We do not promise the “elixir of immortality”... Real immortality is cloning and inducing a person’s consciousness” (i.e., exactly the 2000 scheme described in this book). This book appeared as a real opportunity to somehow let the “City and the World” know about such a promising Project, which the author’s pool of scientists decided to first present in the form of a popular presentation. The heading of the book is “non-fiction,” i.e., “without fiction,” and in the given descriptions of a thousand and one natural phenomena, research facts, technological achievements, everything – reliably! All debatable opinions previously took place, all the characters are real, or have their own prototypes. Whether the second, third and subsequent parts of the book will appear depends on many things, including the wishes of the readers, and therefore yours too: “I’m hooked, I want continue reading!” The pool of authors is working non-stop on the Project! So there is something to write about...
