And love, real and misunderstood love, wanders resentfully alone, because it is doomed to misunderstanding, to not being recognized when it comes, like inspiration, like a gust of summer wind, like a serenade in an unknown language. And she comes and goes, but we remain, because we cannot escape our fate. However, is this so? The heroes of “Half-Dead Souls” desperately fight for their happiness, which either approaches them or slips away like a mirage and beckons them along.
