Palaeontological fiction is about lost worlds inhabited by dinosaurs and the distant ancestors of modern humans. These are exciting journeys through the abysses of time and encounters with antediluvian monsters that miraculously survived to our times. These are stories about primitive people and the life of creatures that turned into fossils millions of years ago... The anthology “Interview about the Sea Serpent” continues in the “Polaris” series a series of publications of forgotten paleontological fiction. The book includes works of Soviet science fiction writers written in the 1920s - 1940s: “Interview about the Sea Serpent” by S. Kolbasyev, “Mr. Walsh’s Sea Serpent” by E. Batenin, “Journey to the Inside of the Earth” by L. Opochinina and “The Extraordinary Kim's Adventure" by K. Skalona. Most of these works are being republished for the first time. The publication preserves the original illustrations that form an integral part of the first publications.
