Merida is a princess. It would seem that the princess should have everything one could dream of, but Merida does not have something most important - freedom. Her mother, Queen Elinor, wants to make her daughter an exemplary heir to the throne, but the girl is only interested in racing through the forest, a bow and arrow, and the wind blowing her hair. Things get really bad when Merida's mother decides to find a groom and calls representatives of all the clans to compete for the princess's hand. And then, backed into a corner, Merida decides to take a desperate step - ask the strange witch for a potion to change her mother and, at the same time, her own destiny. But didn’t the forest witch deceive her?
