The manual presents rational approaches to assessing indications and contraindications for HRT. Algorithms for examining patients before prescribing and during the use of hormone replacement therapy are described, depending on the clinical situation. Particular attention is paid to the need for an individual approach to choosing the regimen and duration of HRT, the method of drug administration, ensuring the use of minimal effective doses of hormonal agents and the safety of HRT, taking into account contraindications and risk factors for the development of various pathologies, primarily the cardiovascular system and osteoporosis. Situational tasks will help doctors master examination algorithms and individual selection of methods of hormone replacement therapy in peri- and postmenopause.
