The almanac is dedicated to the life and spiritual deeds of the holy martyrs for Christ - members of the House of Romanov that reigned in the Russian Empire. This is the Passion-Bearer Emperor Nicholas II and his Family - Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna, daughters Olga, Maria, Tatiana and Anastasia and Tsarevich Alexy Nikolaevich (to whom extensive documentary material is dedicated). Then - Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich (poet K.R.) and his sons - Prince Oleg, who gave his life for Russia in the war of 1914, princes John, Konstantin and Igor, who died martyrs in the Alapaevsk mine along with Grand Duchess Elisaveta Feodorovna, the Grand Duke Sergius Mikhailovich, Prince Vladimir Paley and others. These were true patriots of their Motherland, children of the Orthodox Church faithful to Christ, people of the highest culture. The compiler and main author of the almanac, monk Lazar (Afanasyev) is one of the oldest modern writers, the author of many books, poems and prose. Over the past decades, he has been working mainly on spiritual topics.
