The Chronicle of Alfonso X is one of the main monuments of Castilian chronicle of the 14th century. Compiled at the court of Alfonso XI (1312–1350), it opens a cycle of the so-called. "Royal Chronicles", is dedicated to the reign of Alfonso X the Wise (1252-1284) and contains a detailed account of the main actions and initiatives of this king. The Chronicle provides the most detailed coverage of two revolts against the king that occurred during this period: the Revolt of the Magnates of 1271–1273. and the revolt of the crown infanta Sancho IV 1281–1284. The text of the Chronicle preserves original documents: the demands of the magnates, their correspondence with the royal court, letters from Alfonso X to his wife and children. The chronicle is provided with a detailed commentary and an introductory article. The research was carried out as part of the 2021 fundamental research program of the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
