There was only a week left before the children arrived at the Zorka holiday camp, and security of the territory had still not been organized. The fact is that two strapping men, who had been contracted as watchmen for the summer, ran away for unknown reasons. The camp director began looking for a replacement, but suddenly the problem resolved itself. The Beridze twin brothers approached him, introduced themselves as Georgian refugees and asked to be guards. The director gladly accepted the refugees to work. And a few days later, when the camp area was filled with the laughter and chirping of children, the Beridze brothers took machine guns in their hands and cold-bloodedly shot more than three dozen children...
