The need for a probabilistic approach in determining the norm is argued, the relationship between the states of norm, adaptation, pre-pathology and pathology of chemical genesis is discussed. Approaches to differentiated assessment of indicators characterizing the norm in laboratory animals and its seasonal fluctuations are outlined. The rationale for the principles of choosing animals for modeling pathology of chemical genesis is given.
The third edition has been revised and expanded taking into account new theoretical ideas about the relationship between normality and pathology, the tables include a wider range of indicators and constants.
