"We" is a Ukrainian translation of the novel by the Russian writer Yevgeny Zamyatin, which was published in 1920. This is a dystopian book that tells about life in the distant future in a closed world where feelings and individuality are suppressed by the power of a nameless unity - "Unison". The main character, engineer D-503, begins to write down his thoughts in a diary, but finds that his writing violates the system's calling. The book encourages readers to think about the price of unlimited control, about the loss of human identity in exchange for stability and security. Will the hero be able to preserve his individuality? Will he be able to defend his rights? "We" is an eternal conversation about freedom and self-expression in a world deprived of these values.
