“School of Scoundrels” is the fourth and final book of the “No Man’s Land” tetralogy: “No Man’s Land”, “Children of the Temple”, “Fools and Heroes”, “School of Scoundrels”. One main line continues - the struggle for survival in the “no man's land” of Mikhail Sergeev, a former GRU operative, retired after the collapse of the country. He is forced to rely only on himself and his close friends. What is he fighting for now? For which country? For what kind of justice? So he decides to give a possible component of a weapon of mass destruction to known terrorists. Having thought it over, realizing that this means hundreds of thousands of dead, he gives it away. Because these countries where such weapons will be used are now of no interest to him. He is only interested in his surroundings, his friends, the inhabitants of no man's land, forced to survive here, behind barbed wire. This is a book about friendship, about loneliness, about love, about betrayal, about secret and open politics, about the dirt associated with it, and the dirt real, about the Office, about people. It's not always fantastic, which is a little scary.
