The articles are divided into sections: monasteries, cathedrals, parish churches (1st volume), regimental churches, churches at government institutions, educational institutions, hospitals, etc. Extensive indexes (nominal, subject, topographical) help the reader navigate the enormous material. The encyclopedia contains a large number previously unknown information and attributions and is of particular interest to specialists.
