A collection of poems and poems by the Russian poet, historian, journalist and publisher Nikolai Nikolaevich Turoverov (1899-1972), an active cultural figure in the Russian Abroad, who left a multi-volume poetic legacy. Nikolai Nikolaevich Turoverov is a native of the village of Starocherkasskaya, a Don Cossack. In 1920 he left Russia from Crimea, but remained a patriot of his homeland. He wrote poetry, historical articles and essays on the history of the Don Cossacks. He became one of the active founders of the Cossack community, the Cossack Union, and the Circle of Cossack Writers Abroad. He published the Cossack Almanac, the Rodimy Krai magazine, and edited the Cossack Union newspaper. The Russian foreign press called him “the last exponent of the spirit of the rebellious branch of the Russian people - the Cossacks.” The book includes the most interesting poems by N. Turoverov, published in his collections “The Path”, “Poems” 1928, 1937, 1939, 1942, “Book Five "(1965), in periodicals, collections published in Russia, and poems from the archival collection of I.I. Turoverova. The book is addressed to the widest range of readers.
