In 1940, from his student days, Boris Mitrofanovich Semov became a cadet at the regimental school of a separate communications regiment of the Special Baltic Military District. During the war years, the author was a telegraph sergeant, and then a regimental radio operator, head of the radio station. Visited 7 fronts: Western, Central, Voronezh, Steppe, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Ukrainian. Participated in the liberation of the cities of Ostrogozhsk, Stary Oskol, Belgorod, Kharkov, Sighisoara, Targu Mures, Salonta, Cluj, Debrecen, Miskolc, Budapest, Szekesfehervar, Sopron and others. The book describes the front-line years of a simple Soviet boy, a patriot of the Motherland, whose feat of arms brought our people, our country closer to victory in the Great Patriotic War. The book wonderfully describes the life of an ordinary soldier at the front, military operations, and many absolutely incredible stories that happened to him. Boris Mitrofanovich Semov received several serious injuries, but always returned to duty as quickly as he could.
