The northern capital is very loved and often visited by Russian and foreign tourists. Arriving in the city on the Neva, they all follow approximately the same routes: without fail they walk along Nevsky and Palace Square, visit Peterhof and the Hermitage, admire Isaac and the Bronze Horseman, be sure to take photographs at the Aurora... Guests are first of all welcome show the most beautiful places in the city. But in St. Petersburg there are still so many avenues and streets, alleys and squares that do not belong to the so-called ceremonial Petersburg. The author invites readers to walk with him along the quiet, little-known, “shady, unpretentious” streets of the city. Believe me, they deserve it.
