The book by journalist and researcher N. Nikolaev recreates the portrait of Martin Bormann, the “puppeteer” of Adolf Hitler. The author examines Bormann's party and state career, his involvement in the crimes of Hitlerism, his active role in the development of the inhumane policies of the Nazis, the peculiarities of his relationships with other leaders and functionaries of the Third Reich, with those around the German “elite”. Much attention is paid in the book to the mysteries of the life and death of Nazi leaders, as well as the post-war activities of surviving war criminals, their attempts to develop active economic, ideological and political activity in new conditions.
