Robert Graves (1896–1985) is one of England's most significant poets and prose writers of the 20th century. The series of historical novels he wrote, of which the most famous “I am Claudius”, “Claudius the Divine”, “Prince Belisarius”, “The Golden Fleece”, “Homer’s Daughter” and, of course, “King Jesus”, put him on a par with with the greatest novelists of the 20th century. The novel “King Jesus” (1946) tells about a turning point in the history of mankind. Jesus appears in the novel not as an icon, but as a living person who, while suffering for people, is not able to make everyone happy at once. And life is in full swing around Jesus with political, palace, and temple intrigues. Design of the series by artist D. SHIMILISA, artist F. KARBYSHEV
