Vasily Pavlovich Aksyonov is a recognized classic and cult figure of Russian literature. His works are well known not only in Russia, but also abroad. Success came to Aksyonov back in the 1960s, responding with brilliant prose to the most complex and relevant topics, he remained the voice of his generation for decades.
