The book of poems and poems by the outstanding Russian poet and mystic thinker Daniil Andreev (1906–1959) broadly represents his poetic heritage. It includes selected lyrical cycles and poems from 1928–1958, as well as works from the Russian Gods poetic ensemble. The rare gift of spiritual vision, embodied in the work of the author of “The Rose of the World” with lyrical inspiration and myth-creating power, makes his poetry one of the largest phenomena of Russian literature of the 20th century.
