Sting (real name Gordon Matthew Sumner) is a singer, musician, father of six children and a fighter for saving the Amazon forests. While studying at the Northern Counties Catholic Teachers' College, he began to study music. He worked as a primary school teacher and played with different groups. In 1978 he became the lead singer of The Police and recorded their first album. His contribution to music allowed Sting to take an honorable place in the rock “hall of fame” and receive the title of Lord from the queen.
